The Loyola Skill Center is a dedicated facility designed to provide students and community members with practical, industry-relevant skills that enhance employability and entrepreneurial potential. Housed in a separate building, the center focuses on hands-on training in diverse areas, bridging the gap between education and vocation.
Skill Areas and Collaborations:
• Life Sciences Skills: Practical training in laboratory techniques, microbiology, biotechnology, and analytical methods to enhance scientific and research competency.
• Tailoring and Fashion Design: Through collaborations with Zeno Mics, Pulivendla, the Pulivendla Municipal Authorities, and CURD, the center provides 90-day intensive tailoring programs each year. Around 99–100 aspirants participate annually, gaining skills in stitching, pattern-making, fashion designing, and apparel entrepreneurship.
• Media and Communication Skills: Training in photography, videography, digital media, and communication techniques for careers in media, journalism, and creative industries.
• Other Skill Development Programs: The center conducts workshops and short-term courses in computer literacy, entrepreneurship, life skills, and allied vocational areas, equipping learners with versatile competencies for employment and self-reliance.
