Mid –day meals
Loyola Degree College (LDC) provides midday meals as part of its commitment to student welfare, nutrition, and overall well-being. This program primarily supports the poorest of the poor students and those traveling long distances to attend college, ensuring that economic challenges do not hinder their education.
The initiative is implemented on a cost-sharing basis, with the management covering 50% of the cost and the students contributing the remaining 50%, making it both sustainable and inclusive. Proper nutrition is recognized as essential for effective learning, and the college ensures that meals are wholesome, hygienic, and balanced.
Midday meals not only support students’ physical health but also enhance classroom concentration, attendance, and participation in co-curricular activities, fostering a sense of community among students and staff.
